how the heck did you start Finders Keepers?

Finders Keepers started out as a thrifting and pop culture podcast between me (Riley) and my best friend, Meredith (hey girl!) in 2020, during our senior year at Wake Forest University. That’s where the “pod” in @finderskeeperspod comes in.

Thrift trip recaps over a microphone at the WakerSpace evolved into conversations about purging our closets and selling our old clothes on Depop. In 2021, we went in on a booth at Design Archives in Winston-Salem and filled it with vintage and secondhand clothes from our own closets. After selling out within a few weeks, we realized it was time to start sourcing vintage with the intention of reselling.

Eventually, Meredith went to graduate school in Italy, and the podcast fizzled out. But my love for vintage persisted! I took over Finders Keepers and grew the former podcast into a vintage brand with weekly “shop drops” and an Etsy, Depop, and pop-up market presence.

I’ve balanced Finders Keepers with other full-time and part-time jobs since the beginning, but there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, and a full-time Finders Keepers journey is imminent.

Follow along to watch this baby grow!

what are you all about?

sustainability

Sustainability is hot. Every item in the collection is secondhand, thoughtfully sourced with the planet in mind and curated to stand the test of time. I believe in giving pieces a second life—not just to reduce waste, but to offer you hotties timeless, quality goods that you can treasure for years to come. To further minimize environmental impact, I offer local pick-ups in the Triangle area, cutting down packaging and shipping emissions :)

size inclusivity

Everyone deserves access to high-quality vintage that fits well and feels even better. That’s why I stock pieces in sizes XS–4X, with a focus on celebrating every body through timeless, one-of-a-kind finds. Plus-size vintage can be hard to come by, but when I find it, I make it a priority to stock it—because everyone deserves to feel hot and stylish in clothes that were made to fit you.

quality textiles

Quality starts with the fabric. I have a background in textile and fashion history, and I curate pieces with an expert eye for craftsmanship and longevity. Finders Keepers prioritizes fine natural materials like silk, linen, cotton, and leather—textiles chosen not just for their sexiness, but for their durability. These are clothes that are made to last, and to be worn, loved, and washed without losing their magic.
